Living organisms have entered into a battle for survival for hundreds of millions of years and the pressure to survive has resulted in ever changing shapes. From the hammerhead shark to the platypus, new and sometimes extreme shapes can mean survival for certain species. But, as nature has proven, sometimes the most basic shapes on earth have the staying power of survival. This episode will explore the evolution of animal shape and how the slightest alteration of a leg or a head can mean the difference between life and extinction.
It’s a tough, violent, and lethal world out there, and it’s been that way since the dawn of time. Roughly 99 percent of all species have become extinct. What enabled that other one percent to survive the cutthroat competition?
Their ability to…. EVOLVE.
Through a stunning combination of dramatizations, computer animations, live action nature footage and lab work; discover the biological and behavioural innovations that have kept us all on this Earth!

I love this series, imma try to get it on Blu-Ray. :D
have 2 watch this later
I remember back in school my professor said that the main thing that allowed for our ancestors to make it was that we evolved kneecaps which allowed us to stand up right. Standing upright allowed for us to see over the tall grass and therefore see predators or other potential threats.
Another excellent and informative post.
good vids!
great :D
supporting.
cool thanks for sharing :)
There are some amazing creatures out there. I wish we needed to evolve built in camo, would be the nuts.
A balance of mobility, vulnerability, utility and so many other factors. I think intelligence is the ultimate survival tool though.
episode 10, yes!
Awesome work Naj. i admit I am sort of lacking insight and expertise when it comes to evolution and science, history, cultures, and genetics (migrations, subclades, ect) are my strong suit
haha, nice
hehehe naked hehehe
Im loving this series! Thanks again for bringing it to my attention (although TTWH was so much better)!
I wonder what pressures (heh) exist in the deep sea that make for such strangely shaped creatures? The oceans have the strangest organisms to a land based mammal like me.
Hurdur, very exciting video xD
is this the last episode ?!
thanks for sharing this!
So true and so interesting!
Great post. Showing support!
